Cake Flags

Cake: For our engagement party we had put together personalized stirrers which would have worked better IF it wasn't so dam windy! Anways, I would like to do the same, but for the pieces of cake. The Omni had offered to make some for us but I would rather just put it together myself since it was the easiest thing in the world to put together.

Veil o Veil

Veil: I do want to do the traditional walk down the aisle with my veil covering my face, it's just traditional and appropriate. I found this on projectwedding.com where the bride put the veil in the back of her head rather then the top and also didn't use two veils but one and I thought it looked pretty nice. Thanks to my MOH JoyJoy for her wonderful long veil :)

Thank you!!

Thank you: I really really really like this idea for the thank you cards. They actually have a tutorial on how to write thank you on a paper umbrella. By the way -- thats my dress ;)

Hanging Things

I really like these things, hopefully if I have enough time I can make a couple of small ones and have them hanging from somewhere, not sure where yet but somewhere

Bride's Flowers

I am so happy my flower bouquet ideas have been finally have come true. I love the romantic look of my bouquet. I can't wait to hold it :)

Ceremony Cards

Ceremony: Let's hope these are as easy as they seem, TOOOOO bad I don't know where I am going to be walking down the aisle yet!! GEEZ!!

TV Ruins Everything

TLC: Every Sunday morning, while Ray is still sound asleep I wake up and watch back to back episodes of Four Weddings and Say Yes To The Dress. Ray is a huge footbal fan and the minute he gets up around (11-11:30am) it's football time so having time to watch bridal shows on TLC before he wakes up is the best. This Sunday I was watching the NY/NJ special of Four Weddings -- bad idea -- their budgets were 100-150k and their weddings were insane. Anyways...at one of the weddings they had chocolate chip cookies (my favorite) and milk shooters added into the candy bar after 11pm. Let's just say -- I want that.

Toot Too

Flower Girl: I can't decide whether or not I want MJ (Flower Girl) to wear a tutu or a dress. I keep seeing the tutu and it just looks so cute and different. She would look great in a white top and yellow tutu...it is also a lot cheaper then those little expensive one day dresses. At least she will get to wear the tutu again!

Baby Breaths + Vases

Since the colors we have chosen are colbalt blue, silver, and yellow we decided to make our centerpieces silver.. or something with a little bit of silver in it. Then I realized wow, flowers are expensive but BABY's BREATH is cheap?! Hmmm, So I saw some advice from Mrs. Buttons on Weddingbee.com and she had put together her vases and baby breath centerpieces. I don't want to use only baby's breath , baby the smaller vases can be yellow flowers or pioninis (however you spell it) or little daisies. I will be still putting together my vintage frames in either silver or ivory ( depending on how much silver I use)

Mrs. Buttons found her vases at TJ MAx and Marshalls 3.99 - 7.99 I am totally going to check this idea out. I could even still use my lanterns.
Pier 1 import has the lanterns.. perhaps 2 vases + 1 lantern. I gotta try it out.

Flowers are 99.9% Finalize

Good News! We finally put the down payment on the flowers! I did a complete change from what I originally wanted which was Yellow Gerber Daisies, White Mini Gerber Daisies for the bridesmaids and Yellow/White and Astromeria Flowers for my bouquet.
-- I am going all Romantic --
Bride: Ivory Peoninis + Blue Hydrangeas + I forgot something ivory
Bridesmaids: Ivory Peoninis + Blue Hydrangeas + Yellow Gerber Daisies
*I don't have a picture of a bouquet with all these flowers, I kinda put it together myself, so it's u n i q u e
Groom: 3 Astromeria flowers + Mini Peoninis
Groomsmen: 2 Astromeria Flowers + 1 mini Peonini
Ushers: 2 Astromeria Flowers + 1 mini Peonini
Ring Bearer: 1 Astromeria Flower
Mother Corsage/Wristlet: Astromeria Flowers, Peoninis, Mini Yellow Gerber Daisies
Flower Girl: I will make her flower arrangement
Fathers: 2 Astromeria Flower wrapped in a ivory satin

Chair Covers- you are OUT!

Instead of spending millions (600) on chair covers I decided to get napkins and table runners (0.25/0.50) a piece or maybe just napkins :) I found a really cheap site and they are wiling to give me awesome discounts! (THANK YOU MILITARY DISCOUNT) yellow napkins.. blue table runner? I think so..

Colors..Colors..Flowers

I have my 3rd meeting with the Florist today -- hopefully we can put the downpayment and get this off my list!

It's true, I love sparklers, they are cheap fun and creative and will make great pictures! We will obviusly use them at night!

I am bad

I haven't bought my sash yet, I totally forgot what it looked like when I tried it on with my dress. I am so confused. Ahhhh I will go look at it when I pick up my dress in 2 months. Maybe I can find another if I don't like this one. There was another one that was more sparkly.

I have no butt

The Back of my dress. I would like to do this to my train during the reception.

Hair Inspirations

Hair: I love the side loose hair do. Miss. Patty already said she could do it for me!

Make me Pretty

Makeup: I have decided to get my makeup done for the wedding. I just can't picture myself doing it being all stressed out (hopefully not) on the most important day of my life. I love this type of style, natural but love the eyes.

OOT OOT

Out of Town Totes (OOT): I totally want to do this! I took the idea from a wedding bee. I won't have that many OOT guests but I know that most of them have never been to Colorado before. I am going to put chapstick, water bottles, lotion, Colorado pamplets, Estes Park pamplets, Mountain man chocolates, Boulder Canyon chips.. fun little things. I am also going to include the above postcard with things to do, places to eat, rehersal dinner info (if invited)

Bridesmaid Survival Kit: Mints, Kleenex, Tylenol, Pepto Bismol, Selzer, Shout wipes, Chapstick, small bottle of Champage
Groomsmen Survival Kit: Kleenez, Tylenol, Pepto Bismol, Shout wipes, small travel bottle of Captain Morgan, Mints, small bottle of Champage. (Ray said a Condom...haha)
