Ceramony

Ring Bearer Bowls: Paloma's Nest has some beautiful ring bearer bowls that I am going to be ordering. I like this idea better then having Loggie hold a pillow. I am even thinking of getting our names ingraved with the date of our wedding.

Ceramony Decorations: I am not too picky about this because after the ceramony that lasts 30 mins I am never going to see these decorations again. I am thiking the hanging mini lanterns or just tie a bow.

Monograms.

Cake Topper: I was going to do a funny cake topper but saw this one and thought it looked classy.

To do or NOT to do.. That is the question?

Photo booth: This is one of those things I really want but don't know if it is in my budget, yet. I personally think it's a cute idea for us and the guests, with the print outs guests can sign the guest book and include a photo. IF I don't do this I will be buying a poloroid camera and having one of my friends take their pictures and insert them into a guestbook.

Lanterns, Beers, and Lemons .. Good Mix

Centerpiece Alternative: I really like the idea of the lemons with the daisies, it is less expensive then having a ton of flowers. Also to the right is a Do It Yourself photo laterns, it looks very unique but does take awhile to put together, is a year long enough? Maybe I can put these on the cake table.

Centerpieces: I am thinking of buying these laterns for each of our tables. They are unique and since I will be having an outdoor wedding, they would look great at night. I could even ask my florist for a few strands of yellow flowers to put on the table. I am going to make it look great. Michael's has them for 40 a piece ( I am going to be sneaky again)
Favors: Ray is a huge home brewer, he makes some excellent beer. I don't like beer but it smells like beer and tastes gross like beer so it must be good :) Everyone raves about it. I am also into graphic designing. I love making my own labels especially Ray's beer labels, it's become a hobby of mine to design flyers and beer labels. I have some ideas stirring up. I will be tying a blue ribbon that has a little tag saying Thanks!

Place cards: I am going to be using lemons for place cards, I don't know exactly how, but it's going to happen. Goes with my theme and it's cute.

I am NOT good with picking flowers

Flowers: I like all flowers except roses, I think they are stupid expensive. Either one of these would work as long as they are yellow. Any flower that is "in- season" is the way to go that is one hint that every bride has told me. I would like the ladies to hold sunflowers but, who knows if that is in season.

The Sweet Stuff..

Cake: I am having a blue cake, it is included in my venue package and these are cakes the lady has done last year. I am thinking of even having her do a very light yellow instead of the white butter cream. We are going to be having one tier red velvet, the second chocolate, and third one vanilla. The filling will be cannoli filling and strawberry and banana tart. I can't wait to try this cake.
This is what I mean by the Sweet Stuff!

Candy Bar: I will be having a candy bar for myself. I have always wanted one and I will have one. It really isn't much of an expense, a girl from theKnot.com I was messaging said she bought the candy whenever she had extra cash laying around (She also had a year of planning) whenever she saw the color candy theme of her wedding she would buy it. I will be mixing blue and yellow candies together, nothing too much just a small table. She also bought all the glass vases from Jo-Ann Fabrics and returned them... sneaky sneak a total of $35 for the candy bar of my dreams.

Cocktail Signature Drink: Also included in my package is a a cocktail signture drink. I can't choose between a lemon drop and a blue hawaiian. She also said I could split the two so I think I'll just do both. This is complimentary for my guests.

The Dresses + Tuxs

Dress: Strapless, I am thinking of having the MOH wear a lighter color then the rest, not sure yet. The
dresses are pretty simple, I want them short to the knees. Will also require yellow shoes :). I wanted the ladies to have a dress they could wear again to a party or just out.
Tuxedos: Well, here is the deal with the tux. I want Ray to wear a natural or khaki suit instead of an all black tux but, that isn't going to happen. In fact, he made it perfectly clear that he is not going to wear anything but a black tux (Booo..) So I am thinking Black suit with a blue vest. I also got him Argyle blue and yellow socks for all his groomsman, would make a nice photo :)

Location, Location, Location!!

The venue: Omni Interlocken Resort & Spa in Broomfield, CO. My mother and I have looked at 9 different places in the past 3 weeks that I have been engaged. Not one of those places struck my attention until I went to the Omni, this place is everything I want, outdoor pavillion, beautiful rooms, beautiful entrance. I am not too into the whole "Mary and Josh wedding room 1" " Ben and Jen wedding room 2 upstairs" - No, I shall have non of that junk. My wedding will be unique and the Omni was the perfect location to put together a beautiful wedding.

How it began..

Hello! So I decided to put this blog together in order to gather my thoughts, ideas, and inspirations for my wedding that is coming up July 2, 2011. Let me tell you a little about myself and the fiancee, Ray. Well, let me start off by saying that in the past I have dated some very inmature individuals but I mean, who hasn't? I am originally from NJ and was everything a Jersey Girl could be until my parents decided to move out to Colorado which was a completely different atmosphere to what I was used to. I was used to the beaches, the malls, the shopping, the partying and Colorado was a very outdoorsy kinda place - not my "thing"

I got dragged to Colorado April 2008 and dated around for awhile but never found anyone that stuck for longer then a couple of weeks, but then I met a guy named Will who I was starting to like a lot. Will brought me over to his house to meet his room mates a couple of times and that is when I met Ray for the first time. Ray was his closest room mate and I thought he was extremly good looking so good looking that I had to add him as my friend on Facebook :) Will and I weren't serious so it wasn't that big of a deal. Well, anyway Thanksgiving weekend it was my girlfriends 25th Birthday so we all went out to the bars I was on my way to the ladies restroom when Ray grabbed me around the waist and pushed me close to his body (had one to many beers in his system) He asked me why I was dating Will and that Will has been in a relationship with a girl for over a year. I was in shock, but seriously, Colorado men- not surprised. My girlfriend saw what was happening and thought that Ray was just a creep so she grabbed me and pulled me away from him.

Well thank goodness for facebook because we hung out every single day after that till we got engaged on May 29th on top of camel mountain :) And now, the planning begins...
